以純棉為基底的⾊紗先染格紋拼接⾯料（Cotton Yarn Dyed Patchwork），其特⾊在於先將棉紗染⾊，再依不同格紋圖案分別織造，
最後以裁片⽅式拼接成⼀整幅布⾯，因此每⼀個區塊都保有獨立的格紋比例與配⾊層次，形成豐富⽽有節奏感的視覺效果。
純棉材質使布料具有良好的透氣性、吸濕性與親膚性，⼿感柔軟卻仍保有⼀定挺度，⽽⾊紗織造的特點是顏⾊滲透於紗線本⾝，相較於後染印花更不易褪⾊，圖案呈現也更立體細緻。

所謂「百家布」在亞洲地區常被⽤來指稱這類帶有傳統格紋意象的拼接布料，其⽂化根源可追溯⾄歐洲與南亞的格紋織物傳統，例如蘇格蘭的格紋（Tartan）象徵家族與地域認同，
⽽印度⾺德拉斯（Madras）格紋則以鮮豔撞⾊與輕薄棉織聞名；隨著19世紀殖⺠貿易與全球紡織技術的交流，這些格紋織物被⼤量輸出並在亞洲、⽇本及台灣等地發展出融合式的拼接設計，成為兼具⺠俗感與休閒風格的布料類型。
拼接⼯藝本⾝也呼應了傳統「惜布」與再利⽤的精神，最初多源於將剩餘布料拼縫成新布⾯的實⽤做法，後來演變為刻意設計的裝飾性⼯藝，這種拼接格紋⾯料不僅展現多元⽂化交融的歷史脈絡，也體現了實⽤與美感並存的紡織傳統。
